La Mancha
La Mancha lies in central Spain on the vast meseta plateau south of Madrid and is the largest contiguous vineyard area in Spain and the world. DO La Mancha covers around 160,000 hectares with over 250 wineries and 14,000 growers, making the area a cornerstone of the Spanish wine industry.
The climate is extremely continental with warm dry summers, cold winters, low rainfall and large diurnal temperature swings, and the soils consist mainly of limestone, clay and sandy soils with good drainage. The white grape Airén historically dominates and yields light fruity white wines, while Tempranillo (known locally as Cencibel) is the most important red variety, complemented by Garnacha, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, along with white varieties such as Macabeo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The style of the reds is typically fruit-driven and approachable with ripe dark berries, plum, spices and soft tannins, while the whites are fresh and light with citrus and white fruit. The area is known as home to everyday Spanish wines and one of the world's most productive wine regions.

Storage
Store the bottle horizontally at 12–14°C and avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations.
Opening
Allow the bottle to stand upright for 24–48 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle. Use a professional corkscrew and open carefully.
Enjoyment
Serve at 17–18°C and be patient – there is a great difference in how and how quickly wines open up when they are aerated.
