Aalborg Christmas Akvavit De Danske Spritfabrikker 2008
The Aalborg Jule Akvavit 2008, produced by De Danske Spritfabrikker in Denmark, represents the 27th edition in a series that first launched in 1982. The annual release of this aquavit is a long-standing tradition tied to the arrival of the holiday season.
This specific vintage features a design inspired by the traditional Danish klukflaske, or glug bottle. The classic shape is presented with a contemporary look and is decorated with mistletoe, incorporating a well-known symbol of holiday customs into the presentation.
Bottled at 47% alcohol by volume, the aquavit reflects the historical strength of spirits from a century ago. In that era, this specific alcohol content was referred to as 8 degrees Spendrup, a measurement derived from a degree stick invented by the aquavit distiller Peter Mathias Spendrup.
