The 1991 Colección Privada is a red wine crafted by Navarro Correas, a family that has been cultivating vineyards since 1890. This wine originates from the producer's own vines in Barrancas, located in the Maipú area of Mendoza. Situated at the foot of the Andes Mountains, Mendoza is widely recognized as Argentina's wine heartland and accounts for the majority of the country's production. The region benefits from a sunny highland climate with cool nights, where the high-altitude vineyards are irrigated by mountain meltwater.
Inspired by the classic blends of Bordeaux, this wine is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most renowned blue grapes for creating structured red wines, frequently grown in regions like Bordeaux, California, Washington, and Tuscany. It is complemented by Cabernet Franc, a classic grape known for its fresh style, typically found in the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, and California. The addition of Merlot, widely planted in Bordeaux, California, Washington, and Northern Italy, traditionally contributes to a softer profile. During its production, the wine was aged in French oak barrels.
The Colección Privada series features a distinctive presentation, with the label showcasing artwork created specifically for this collection by Carlos Gorriarena.

Storage
Store the bottle horizontally at 12–14°C and avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations.
Opening
Allow the bottle to stand upright for 24–48 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle. Use a professional corkscrew and open carefully.
Enjoyment
Serve at 17–18°C and be patient – there is a great difference in how and how quickly wines open up when they are aerated.
